Creativity is not about the outcome but the process;
the experience of creation. So, here we go...

Layer it like an ice cream sundae. Straw first, then different colors of leaves, moss and add the pumpkin (or squash) like a cherry on top of a sundae.

Let’s be Wicked

October 8, 2019

Add lettered window stickers to a salad plate to get the Halloween theme started.

Don’t forget your Moonstruck “creepy” finger used as your knife utensil.

We added some dry ice to the silver cups, Moonstruck truffle eyeballs for dessert and carved out pumpkin votives to add some darkness!

Call me OLD FASHIONED

September 27, 2019

Our start to an Old Fashioned Drinking Station. The recipe displayed on the typewriter.

Started with these old pipes I found in my grandpas creamery stuff as vases after adding test tubes to hold the water for the flowers.

What better time to use mason jars as glasses (and cheap). Added an old camera, tin ice bucket wrapped in old time cartoons with wooden scoop.

After bottles are empty I keep all my unique bottles. Poured the Abbotts Bitters into this bottle and typed an old fashioned label for it. Added droppers (from my face serum-yes I collect these so when I have grand kids I can play chemist with them).

Added old fashioned tins to hold the orange peels and cherries and used clothes pins as tongs.

The drinking station is officially OPEN.

Giving Thanks Table

November 8, 2018

Everyones favorite time of year. Thanksgiving. When friends and family are around the table. Here is an easy and cheap Thanksgiving table set up.

I cut up burlap coffee bags (purchased 10 for $1.99 on Craigslist) and cut them into place mats.

IMG_0624

Wood chargers I had cut from left over fireplace wood. I then burned everyones names onto their own wood charger as a place card.

Burlap coffee bags wrapped around glass vases (hold with rubber band then wrap with string) holding fall berries from outside. Votive holders filled with dried beans.

Time for the 3 F’s. Family, Friends and Food!

Glassy Halloween!

October 2, 2018

Turn your glass vases upside down and highlight your Fall Harvest. Use  a charger, pan, upside down saucer, cutting board or bowl to hold your fall collection.
